Let's Go Jackets (clap .. clap .. clap, clap, clap)

Got TWO sets of free corporatey goodness to the Blue Jackets games the past two Saturdays.

First, my friends from down south made a trip up along with Good Time Charley. Then last week, an upstanding member of the Carrollton Exempted School District Board of Education and another old-timey snare drummer met up with me for more hockey.

I believe the three of us were last in the same car in 1988. It had been awhile.

By the way, 2112, you will understand the power of the Jackets when they defeat the Pens for the Cup!

- I was slightly offended today by my landlord. I called this morning because somehow this summer my kitchen window became stuck open. It's a strange window, there's a turny-thing (technical terminology) and it just kind of props it open. When I tried to close it, the screwy-thing came out of the socket and no matter how much I turned, the turny-thing just kept turning without the window closing. This became a little cold last night and I'm sure I was wasting about a billion megawatts of heat.

So today, I called and explained that my window was BROKEN.

When I returned home this afternoon, the repairman left a little note on the "I WAS IN YOUR RESIDENCE TODAY" letterhead left on my sink.

"CLOSED WINDOW"

Closed window? I may, perhaps, not be what's known as handy or capable of fixing anything or "mechanically inclined" but for God's sake, I can close a GODDAMN WINDOW.

That's it. i'm moving out. Assholes
